Millie's Christmas program

Covenant Christmas program

The Covenant School has an annual Christmas program that is all singing. The Explorers had to learn, The Friendly Beasts, and also Adeste Fidelis. I'm going to see if I can get the video to load.

Living History Day

Clara's class had to dress up as Israelites for Living History Day. Daddy also dressed up as an Israelite and helped to serve lunch! Is it just me or does Clara look cute and Walter look a little "scary"?

Trunk or Treat

Another year, another trunk or treat. This year we had a pug jail. We didn't do a good job getting many pictures. As you can see, the girls had fun getting in the jail with them! The pugs were good sports.
The girls BEGGED me to get these dresses for them at Costco. They have only taken them off to sleep at night. The skirts have tulle that sparkles.

The Puggers

Fall is definitely in the air here in Dallas. The puggers are even excited about the cooler weather!

Millie and Margaret

Millie had her little friend Margaret over this past week. They are in the same class at school and will both be Explorers at Covenant in 2 years.

As you can see, Millie has quite the personality. We are definately entering a new stage with her. I know she has received 10 times the spankins Clara did at this age!

Millie asked if we could go back to France and play in the snow.

Fur

We had Clara's class pet "Fur" come home for the weekend. She was a hit and was the busiest Gerbil i've ever seen.
Clara is really enjoying Kindergarten and has made some really great new friends. This is Sarah and we do carpool with her and her brother. The girls are eating popcorn and watching Thumbelina while the puggers eagerly wait for some dropped pieces!

First Day of Kindergarten!

It's been quite a week as we have prepared for a big life event! Our "nut nuts" is a kindergartener! We are very thankful that she is able to go to The Covenant School. Her teacher is Mrs. Mountjoy who is in the picture with her below. Check out the daily routine. That list is exactly why I could never homeschool! I would have 3 snacks, recess and perhaps a story by lunch time!
We also started a new tradition at our house. The "back to school" cake tradition. Millie helped to make that fine masterpiece and we just finished scarfing down a fourth of it!
It is 7:15 and Clara still refuses to take off her uniform. We shall see how long that lasts!
